About this event

Join us at Whiterock Conservancy for a family friendly event on the scenic gravel and dirt roads of Guthrie County. Presented by Relentless Events, LLC, Iowa Gravel Classic offers your choice of 100 miles or 100 km of the best Iowa gravel and dirt roads in the area.

Whiterock Conservancy is a non-profit land trust that stewards over 5000 acres of forest, wetlands and oak savannah along the Middle Raccoon River watershed. Whiterock has 30 miles of multi-use trails available for your family to use for hiking and mountain biking while you are out experiencing the roads of Guthrie County. Canoe and kayak rentals are also available. Showers are available for use after the event.

Lodging

Free tent, van, or car camping is available near the start/finish area on the afternoon / evening before the event. Paid RV/Trailer camping sites are available approximately 1 mile from the start/finish area. Whiterock Conservancy also has cabins and houses available for rent.

Relentless Events, LLC

Relentless Events, LLC is made up of Sarah Cooper, Steve Fuller and Dori Jansma. All three have deep ties to the Iowa cycling community, as well as the Midwest gravel scene. Relentless Events is behind a number of Iowa based gravel events – Iowa Wind and Rock, Iowa Gravel Classic, The Tour of Central Iowa, and Spotted Horse Gravel Ultra. We love the state of Iowa and our local community, and we make an effort to involve local and in-state businesses with our events as much as possible, including hosting, event goodies, and prizing. In addition to races, Relentless Events is also responsible for supplying safe bike valet services at many large events in the Des Moines Metro. Our goal is to give people the opportunity to push beyond what they have done on a bicycle, and have fun while doing so.
