About this event

This event unveils Istria, a triangular-shaped peninsula in the turquoise Adriatic Sea. Istria offers a breathtaking and complex region, varying from stunning cliffs on the seashore of Kamenjak National Park to charming vineyards and olive groves. It’s the land of sun and sea.
Be ready for an adventure that will unveil the secrets of the three colors of Istria: White Istria, as the limestones around the mountain peaks; Grey (or Yellow) Istria, as the fertile inner lands; and Red Istria, as the clayey land near the coastline.
Istra Land delivers an off-road bikepacking adventure with both a captivating environment and challenging sections, adding some spice where resupplies are spaced out.

Bikepacking adventure

We designed the route to unveil the extraordinary richness of Istrian nature and to make you discover a variety of landscapes. We also wanted to avoid pointless hike-a-bike sections: we like to ride as much as you do! The result is a route that doesn't display excessively technical difficulties. You will however ride through some remote sections: do not underestimate the distance between potential resupplies, especially in northern Istria.
