About this event

Klein Karoo Gravel Corridor Challenge forms part of the +/- 700km gravel roads that connects small towns in the Klein Karoo. The event is part of a series to showcase these treasures. Vast outstretched country side where time has stood still for the last 50 years. Old ruins a donkey cart and honest living and heartfelt hospitality adds to the charm of this region. Add to the the skies filled with stars and the call of the jackal at night and you will know this is where magic moments are made.

70km Shortcut

70 km · ↗ 451 m · 100% gravel · $30 entry

Kortpad 70km

this route option is for those not so fit yet or a first time gravel event rider. The route runs all the way downhill to Montagu with 3 short climbs that will test your lungs. Just a fun way to get into gravel road riding. 451m Ascent and 1233m Descent

100km Route

100 km · ↗ 693 m · 100% gravel · $30 entry

Ompad 100km

The 100km is the same as the 70km route but adding a 30km through the reserve makes this the ideal distance if you have some fitness in your legs. Not too long just that perfect distance making you finish in that sweet spot. 693m Ascent and 1470m Descent
Water points at 29/58 and 74km’s. This year the front runners spotted: Kudu, Gemsbuck, Eland, spring-buck, jackal and ostrich but there is a variety of other game as well.

210km Race Route

210 km · ↗ 1,846 m · 100% gravel · $58 entry

210km Corridor Race Route

This is the showcase route of the Klein Karoo Gravel Corridor, passing through 45km of the Anysberg Nature Reserve. The climbs on this route (though not a lot) is short and sharp. You will find corrugation in sections but with a bicycle it is avoidable, the route surface will vary from vary had smooth high speed gravel to sections that is almost cobble stone and even short sandy patches. This route has something of everything and the scenery is unsurpassed.
