About this event

"The 360 is a 360 km self-supported gravel orbit of London, starting and finishing in Greenwich. The route circles the capital on bridleways, byways, woodland tracks, old railway lines, towpaths and the occasional bit of road needed to stitch the whole thing together. There are around 4,400 metres of climbing and, despite being in and around one of the world’s biggest cities, a surprising amount of proper off-road riding.

Riders head out along the Thames before turning south towards the North Downs, crossing the Surrey Heaths, the Chilterns, Hertfordshire and the Lee Valley, then returning through Epping Forest and east London. The peculiar challenge of The 360 is that riders are rarely more than half an hour from a railway station, a warm bed and an extremely convincing reason to stop. Riders have to manage their own food, navigation, mechanicals, pace and sleep, while resisting the temptation to simply get on a train.

The route featured on GCN in 2026, with Si Richardson and Alex Paton taking it on while Ribble Outliers rider Jenson Young chased them around the orbit. For many riders the target is a sub-24-hour finish. For the quicker end of the field there is now another question too: can anyone beat the benchmark set by Jenson?

Everyone carries a live GPS tracker, so the dots can be followed all the way around London. The field is deliberately capped at 60 riders."
