Thank Gravel It's Friday

Thank Gravel It’s Friday is an independent cycling community built around a simple idea: Ride Bikes. Meet People. Build Community. Born in Southern California and raised in Colorado, TGIF blends gravel riding with the surf, skate, and outdoor culture we grew up around. We host free community rides, big backcountry adventures, and Signature events across California and Colorado — all without timing chips, podiums, or much interest in telling you what bike to ride or what kit to wear. Some days are short, social, and end over coffee or a beer. Others involve big climbs, remote dirt, questionable weather, and a story you’ll still be talking about next year. The common thread is getting outside, meeting people, and making cycling feel a little more welcoming and a lot less serious about itself. Mental health awareness and suicide prevention are also close to our hearts. Bikes have a funny way of putting people side by side long enough for real conversations to happen, and we believe those connections matter. Ride what you want. Wear what you want. Bring a friend — or show up alone and leave with a few.
