The track crosses two natural parks with abundant wildlife including deers, lynx, wild boar, roe deer and mouflon. It also passes through an abandoned mining district and an old railway line with numerous tunnels. Two world heritage cities and numerous abandoned villages with their cementeries. There are numerous shelters along the route that allow cyclist to sleep there free of charge
