About this event

Auburn University’s Chapter of Engineers Without Borders is excited to present our second annual Water Cycle event! This cycling event will take place on April 22nd​​​​ at Martin Dam at Lake Martin. Riders will be able to choose from three different distances: a 15 mile, 30 mile, or 60 mile route; there will also have an option to participate in a 60 mile race in which the winners will be taking home prizes! Rider registration will also include tickets for food and music at the Dam Jam after the ride; these tickets will be available to be purchased by non-riders as well. T-shirts will also be included with rider registration, as well as being available for purchase. All proceeds generated from this event will go directly to our chapter to aid in funding future humanitarian projects!

Lodging

For lodging, there are numerous private homes available for rent around the Lake Martin area. Hotels are available in Auburn, AL, which is about 45-minutes from Martin Dam.

Engineers Without Borders

Christian Brodbeck is an avid gravel rider and also a mentor to the Auburn University Student Chapter of Engineers Without Borders (EWB). The Water Cycle is a gravel ride that serves as a fundraiser for EWB so that we can build water projects in Bolivia and Guatemala.
