Dirty Sheets Gravel Grinder

Chattahoochee Hills, GA, USA · Independent Gravel LLC

About this event

ATLANTA’S BEST-KEPT CYCLING SECRET
The secret: it isn’t actually in Atlanta. It’s about 30 minutes south—where the drone of the interstate fades into the rustle of tall grass, the crackle of gravel, and the occasional whiff of honeysuckle on the breeze.
This is Dirty Sheets. And for one glorious fall day, it becomes the Dirty Sheets Gravel Grinder—a rough-and-ready celebration of dirt, grit, and pedal-powered punishment wrapped in rolling hills and Southern charm.
Hundreds of knobby tires will tear through the backroads as riders charge a loop known across the Southeast for its punchy climbs, unpredictable turns, and the kind of character-building chaos you don’t get on pavement. Think of it as Silk Sheets’ unruly counterpart—less refined, more rugged, and 100% unapologetic.
It’s not polished. It’s not easy. But tucked between the beatdown climbs and muddy crossings, you’ll find wide-open pastures, crooked fences, and big-sky moments that make the effort worth it. If you’re into Type 2 fun and courses with bite, Dirty Sheets doesn’t disappoint.

PICK YOUR CHALLENGE
100 miles of mixed-surface madness 62 miles of “What did I get myself into?” 22 miles of scenic rollin’ with a side of sass
Each course includes a curated blend of gravel, road, and just enough singletrack to keep things lively. Expect some off-camber corners, loose climbs, and moments that’ll test your grip—and your grit.

NEW FOR 2025
Start + Finish in Serenbe
This year, we’re rolling out from the flower fields of Serenbe. It’s scenic, unexpected, and sets the perfect tone for the ride ahead.

New Trail Sections
All routes now include a few freshly added sections of singletrack—built with love by MTB Atlanta. Just enough edge to shake things up, not enough to make you cry in front of your friends.

Camping Now Available
Make it a full weekend. Pitch your tent at MTB Atlanta HQ, just down the road from the start line. Expect fire pits, starry skies, and campfire stories that may or may not be true.

Friday Shakeout Ride
A laid-back gravel cruise to get the legs turning and the nerves settled. Details coming soon in the Ride Bible.

Sunday Coffee Ride
An even more chill ride with a cup of Joe in your bottles before you get in your car and head for home.

Prize Money for the 100 Miler
We’re throwing down $3,000 in prize money—$1,500 for the men’s field, $1,500 for the women’s. All 100-mile categories are eligible. (Non-binary riders will race in the men’s payout; singlespeed riders compete within their category.)
Full payout details will be in the Ride Bible.
But…the real prize: Ceramic Glory!!!
Sure, cash is nice. But the real flex? A hand-thrown ceramic trophy from Grouchy Ass Pottery Studio. First-place winners in every 100- and 62-mile category take one home.Second and third place? Custom medals to ease the sting.22-mile riders: no podium, but we still love you.

AWARDS
We will score all categories separately and have podiums and medals for the top three for the 100 and 62-mile categories. We will also have prizes and custom hand-made trophies from Grouchy Old Main Studios for each category, with a minimum of five pre-registered riders by September 1. Each custom trophy takes several weeks to make by hand, and we need to ensure we have enough time. The twenty-mile ride is just a ride and is not timed or come with prizes.
