A taste of Icelandic gravel

The race takes you straight out of the beautiful valley of Reykholtsdalur and from there you ride up the valley of Hvítársíða, likely for some nice headwind. Then after going down the valley Reykholtsdalur, you will close the circle and meet us again in Logaland, the race center.
This is the perfect course if you are starting your journey into gravel cycling or just need to kill time waiting for someone doing the longer races.

The classic Borgarfjörður gravel adventure

The race takes you through beautiful but diverse agricultural valleys filled with grass fields, salmon rivers and sheep. Oh, and the first river to cross is only after 16 km (9.9 mi). After Grjótháls you will (hopefully) see a beautiful view of Borgarfjörður and cross the second river (after 59 km or 36.6 mi). Going up the valley Hvítarsíða, with a glacial river streaming down towards you as you battle the headwind, until you turn right toward Hálsasveit and the valley Reykholtsdalur, before returning to Logaland, the center.

207 km of pure Icelandic gravel

The race takes you through beautiful but diverse agricultural valleys filled with grass fields, salmon rivers and sheep. Oh, and the first river crossing is only after 16 km (9.9 mi). After Grjótháls you will (hopefully) see a beautiful view of Borgarfjörður and cross the second river (after 59 km or 36.6 mi). Going up the valley Hvítársíða, with a glaciel river streaming down towards you as you battle the headwind, until you turn up on the Kaldidalur highland road, which can only be described as magnificent, set in a desolate post-glacial landscape where the roads become a bit rougher.
After the highland road you pass the Uxahryggir road down to the looong valley Lundarreykjadalur, finishing up with a little loop through the valley Flókadalur before returning to Logaland, the race center.
