Welcome to Gravel Grit n Grind Halmstad 2023!
We are super excited to host another UCI Trek Gravel World Series race in 2023. We also want to take the opportunity to say thanks to all participants in 2022 that inspire and motivate us to continue this journey. Thank you for all the encouraging posts we received after our event in 2022.

Stage 2 19 of August 2023  133 km/104 km         UCI qualifying Gravel race and First Ever Swedish National Championships
Stage 3 20 of August 2023  80 km                  Gravel Race

Gravel, Grit ‘n Grind is a 3 days stage race and part of the 2023 Trek UCI Gravel World Series. Starting with a time trial on Friday, a long gravel race on Saturday, and a shorter gravel race, on Sunday.
Gravel rides are not a new way to experience the beauty of cycling in Sweden. Our landscape and environmental values offer great opportunities for gravel rides that give you the particular feeling of freedom that you get on your bike. We have been out on our gravel roads for decades and finally, it´s possible to reveal these hidden treasures for the world.
It´s possible to do a single race, two stages, or the full three day stage race. Only the event on Saturday, stage 2, is an official event in the 2023 Trek UCI Gravel World Series and the Swedish National Championships.

Day One

30 km · ↗ 100 m · 75% gravel · $100 entry

Gravel Time trial

he race weekend kicks off on Friday with a gravel time trial, starting in the city of Halmstad. The course is fast and short but will give our competitors a glimpse of the landscape of the western coast of Sweden.

Day 3

87 km · ↗ 1,000 m · 80% gravel · $100 entry

Fun finale

On Sunday it’s time for stage 3. This race is supposed to be a more relaxed finish of a beautiful race weekend. But we know from our experience from 2022 that this race also can be very competitive for the front group. Other, did stop and took pictures of the beautiful landscape. It’s free of choice!

Day Two . UCI/SM stage

134 km · ↗ 1,700 m · 95% gravel · $120 entry

Gravel World Series and Swedish Championships

On Saturday we start stage 2. This race gives you the possibility to qualify for the UCI world championship 2023. We always want to develop the race to become one of the world’s most enjoyed racecourses. That´s why we hope our improvements are taking the race in that direction. The course has about 90% gravel. The course begins with a nice hill that will stretch the peloton. After this hill, the course is fast and smooth to half the race. The second half is more demanding and hopefully this will truly sort out the strongest riders of the day.
